A Hard Decision Made Easy

As many of you read on our last blog we were going to decide if we should be induced this weekend. I was really struggling with this decision, going back and forth with the pros and cons. We decided to see how much further along I was and what the Dr's opinion was on the matter. After waiting 2 hours at that Dr. office yesterday (the Dr. was called out on delivery) we saw the PA instead who told us that the Dr. is going out of town this weekend for a training conference. Well I guess that was the deciding factor. We will not be having the baby this weekend unless I go into labor on my own. I have been cramping and contracting a lot this week so I thought that I would be further along, but not really. The PA did do an ultrasound to make sure the baby's head is down (lets just say she was having a hard time getting the answers she needed elsewhere). Our baby's head is down but not stationed into my pelvis yet. We have decided that our son is very content where he is at and that we will be lucky if he decides to come out this week, although he is due on the 18th. This little boy is already testing how much patience that I have, lets just say I am not doing very well. Dave and I are trying to come up with things to keep us occupied this weekend but since we have everything ready for the baby there really is not much we need to do. I guess we will go to a movie, it may be our last chance before we become parents. Have a great weekend!
