Ryker has been such a great baby. He had a hard first night where I only got about 2 hours of sleep, but since then has been an angel. We were anxious to bring him home yesterday although the hospital suggested that we stay another day. I just wanted to be in the comfort of my own home not having someone come in when I or the baby had just gotten to sleep only to have our vitals checked and start all over. After insisting very strongly, we were able to come home. I thought Ryker might cry the whole way home after he was upset after being put into the car seat, but he didn't make a peep. I think the car actually soothed him and he slept the whole way home. I was thrilled to be home and in my own bed. My parents and Dave's mom were here to welcome us with a big banner in the window. I haven't had to lift a finger since. My only job has been to take care of Ryker and myself. We have been so spoiled. We were sad to see Debbie leave yesterday but appreciate all of her help.
Ryker has brought so much joy into our lives. I love watching Dave or my parents take care of Ryker. Dave has already been such a wonderful dad; I have no doubt that my son will have the best dad in the world. Ryker is very entertaining, although he is asleep most of the time he is always making noises and faces. We all just laugh at some of the faces he pulls or the noises he makes. Although I have not had a lot of sleep since Sunday night, I have never been so happy in my life. I want to thank all of you for your kind words and for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We have the best support system of friends and family.
I also want to thank Dave for the beautiful post and his unconditional love and support. Most of all I want to thank him for giving me the best gift, our wonderful little boy Ryker.

This is a picture of our son in his car seat ready to head home from the hospital.

This picture is from today after his first doctor's appointment. He didn't even cry during the circumcision. What a great baby, I am the luckiest woman.

Those pictures of him are sooo cute!! Make sure you TAKE IT EASY!!!! Even if you feel good, take advantage of any help you get and let your body recover...it only gets harder from here-especially the lack of sleep!!!! Glad you're all home and happy
He would have cried if he knew what was going on!!!

Sharee I love the baseball outfit!! He is adorable!! Call me when you have time, I know the first little bit is hard to find time for anything, with all the company and not getting much rest.
These pictures are adorable but I must say they don't do him justice--he is so perfect and I'm so glad things are going well!
Congratulations! I am so happy you have your little miracle baby! Stacey told me you had your little guy and gave me your blog page. I am so excited for you guys! He is such a handsome little boy! Enjoy every single moment, they grow up so fast!
