We went to the Beach on Sunday April 25, 2010. The sun was out but it was breezy. The water was freezing in my opinion but most of my crazy nieces & nephews spent lots of time in the water.
Here is Ryker's face when we first arrived at the beach, smiles. He just adores his grandma.
We went closer to the water , here is Savanah enjoying the cold water.
I put Ryker down on the beach to take a few pictures and this small little wave came right up to us. Ryker was not expecting the cold water or the little push from the wave and so he lost his balance and fell down into the water. Poor kid, this is a couple pictures of after the water (mean mom, I couldn't help myself)
Here is Ryker pointing to the water. He is showing me that the water came and got him wet. The rest of the time Ryker would not get near the water. I felt bad that he was tramatized right when we got there.
Here is Ryker getting warmed up by grandpa.
Mariah & Tiffany trying to keep warm next to the water.
Here is the view from where we were on the beach.

Here is the little birdy that kept begging everyone for M&M's. Ryker walked around like this with his mouth open (after learning that putting his hands in his mouth meant that sand would get in there too). It was so adorable that everyone gave him so many M&M's that I finally had to put a stop to it.
We had one very Sad boy!
We had a great time at the beach playing. Ryker was so tired that he fell asleep once we were in the car. I know this little boy had SO much fun playing with his cousins & eating M&Ms and sand (OK not the sand so much). I loved spending time relaxing with my family and the beautiful scenery. We only wished Dave could have been there with us. He had to work on Monday & Tuesday but flew in Wednesday morning to enjoy the rest of the vacation with us.

There is nothing to compare to a trip to the beach. Too bad Ryker had such a scary first experience. Hopefully he'll warm up to the ocean waves. However, I doubt eating sand will ever be something any of will enjoy.
Cute pictures!
Bryant was the same way with the water when we went to the beach. And he didn't even have a traumatic experience. I don't think he liked the pull of the water. Even if I was holding him he still threw a fit.
I'm enjoying ready about your trip. I am esp. excited to see some Disney pics!
