It is crazy to think that our little boy is getting so big. When I look back a few months I can see the changes that have taken place. I see how tall and grown up he has become. I can see that I no longer have a baby on my hand but a toddler. Ryker said on the way home from Utah a couple weeks ago "Big Boy" and Dave and I were shocked. I love how he is a chatter box and repeats everything that we say. There are SO many fun things that Ryker does everyday. Some of his favorite TV shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sesame Street, & Word World. He can even sing the Clubhouse song (he watches this when I am cooking dinner and showering). I love how he will sit and color for 20 minutes with me. He continues to pick out books for me to read. He tries really hard with counting numbers and can count to 6 (although sometimes he still jumps from 3 to 9). Ryker also tries really hard with colors (I am concerned because he seems to think that red & green are the same. That seems to be a sign of color blindness but I am not sure if it is too early to tell) he will get blue & yellow every time. Ryker has also been doing really well with letters, he seems to enjoy attempting the letters and sounds they make. I love how he is understanding what I say (although he doesn't always listen & obey). Nap times have not been a daily thing which would be OK if Ryker didn't need a nap everyday. When Ryker does not get a nap he cries over EVERYTHING, which makes my day much harder. We have so much fun everyday playing. Ryker does really well playing with his toys. He loves the train table he got for Christmas and some of the cars he also received. He also loves the chair that I refinished for him. It is fun to see his imagination at work. It is very rewarding as mother to watch your child learn & dream.

One of his favorite things lately is pushing anything up to the counters, tables, & entertainment center. I have to be really careful with things that are sitting out on the counter tops.
Ryker, you are the pride & joy in our lives. We love you so deeply!

I read once that sometimes kids don't really know their colors well until they are five, so I wouldn't worry about color blindness yet. I can't believe how grown-up and smart he is. I wish Abigail would be as anxious/willing to learn as Ryker is.
Cute picture of Ryker in the kitchen- did you photoshop it? I like it! Grant was always confusing blue or yellow til he was a little older. I love your posts about Ryker, what a great journal!
Sharee I just found your blog off Kristine's... and I'm adding you to my blog roll. :) Ryker is sooo competely adorable! Hope your trip to Utah was a sucess!
I happen to know how color-blindness works. If your father is colorblind then Ryker might be. But if your father isn't colorblind then Ryker won't be. Kind of random, but I used to work at an eye doctors. :)
