We went Hiking at Emerald Bay. Lake Tahoe is So beautiful, I wish I would have gotten more pictures of the lake as a whole.
This is Emerald Bay
Ryker wanted to look through the telescope
Dave showing Ryker the view of the lake
I Love these 2 more than anything.
Here is more of the crew
Amazingly Beautiful
We stopped to eat lunch before we went hiking. The parking was kind of crazy, so many people not enough parking places. We stopped at the overview where they have 30 minute parking. We open up our picnic lunches and sat on this cool rock wall.
Ryker not wanting to eat his lunch. A typical struggle
The rest of the crew eating and chillin
This was an awesome rock, seriously huge.
Look closely and you can see a waterfall.
It was beautiful but this was the best shot that I could get.
My mom took this picture of us right before we started the hike.
Hking down the mountain. There were HUGE trees, not as big as the redwoods but close.
There were all these little waterfalls off the trail. You can't see it very well.
Dave is still not used to my camera.
This was a cool tree that was hollow in the bottom. My dad was a trooper on the hike.
We were all so proud of him. He was totally exhausted after.
The Kealamakia Crew
Our little family
At the bottom in the bay there is this cool Vikingsholm. There is such amazing woodwork and rocks. You had to pay $8 a person for a tour so we opted not to do the tour. It overlooked the bay and this beautiful beach. I wish that I could live in a place like this on the beach.
Just a few of the really cool carvings on the house.
This is the beautiful beach area. The sand was so soft.
They give boat tours around the island but the price per person was ridiculous.
Another picture of Emerald Island from a different view
My adorable son wandering around the beach. He thought the water was too cold
Enjoying the view
These 2 were such great buddies on the trip. I love this picture!
Dave taking Ryker on the way back.
We had such a great time hiking down to the bay. It was SO beautiful there. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to go back.
