Dave and I worked hard to complete the basement in our home. As soon as we put forth the effort to finish the family room the house sold. We lost money on the house but the contract stated that we finish the family room before we could close on the house. Dave did the framing, electrical, hanging the doors, and trim work. We hired out the dry wall, mudding, taping, and texturing, I finished the room by using Behr primer & paint in one. I did 2 coats on the walls and the trim right before the carpet was installed. I did my best to match the carpet for both the upstairs and the office downstairs. These are the only pictures that I was able to get of the basement before we moved. No furniture was ever placed down there while it was ours. It was SO difficult to do all the work when it was something that I wanted while we were still living there. We did not even get to enjoy the room.

Looks great! I bet it was so hard to not be able to enjoy all that space after so much hard work.
