Fun with Family

We have been so  blessed to be close to both of our families. I have LOVED being able to attend my family dinner on fast Sunday for 2 months in a row, a tradition that I have not been able to be part of for the last 4 years. I  LOVE being able to see my parents everyday and do service for them. I  LOVE being close to my sisters and their families. Ryker LOVES playing with his cousins from both sides. I LOVE watching these relationships develop.
I  LOVE being close to my in-laws who are so considerate and loving. I  LOVE being in close proximity to Dave's younger sister Erin and her kids. Ryker LOVES playing with her boys and I get my baby fill playing with her twin girls. We were able to attend a special lunch on Saturday where Dave's brother Rob announced that he is engaged. We are excited and happy to have another member in the Carlisle family! It feels great to be part of the events we normally wouldn't drive down from Idaho for.

I was also able to attend a baby blessing yesterday of one of my lifelong friends, Stephanie. It was great to see her, her twin sister, and their family. I enjoyed catching up with their lives, and seeing how much their kids have grown. Another blessing to living in Utah, the company of wonderful friends.

I have had a hard time adjusting to all the changes that have taken place over the last few months. The things I listed above have helped me feel happy about all of these changes. I have been so caught up in all the things that I feel I have lost by moving (great friends, my home, my ward, and neighbors) that I have not taken the time to really focus on all the wonderful things that I have gained through the move.

I know that all of these changes are for my good.  I know the Lord guided us here for a reason. I have felt closer to both my family and Dave's through this move, in my opinion, FAMILY is the MOST important THING in the WORLD. Although it has been hard, it has also been worth it.
