We were also going through some of his old school pictures and school work. He was such a creative, smart kid (you still are sweetie). I really hope that our son gets all of Dave's great qualities including his book smarts, creative artistic ability, charming poetry writing, and determination to be the best at everything. I also ran across some pictures of Dave and I together before he went on his mission and some of the letters that I wrote to Dave while he was on his mission. I also came across a letter that Dave wrote to me when we were praying about a wedding date. It is funny to see how cheesy I was in my letters to him while he was in the Czech Republic on his mission. In a way it is good to have all the things that we have for our kids to look at someday. Dave and I definitely have some history both good and bad. It is nice that our minds tend to only hold on to the GOOD memories that we love. Although Dave might beg to differ with that, he says that I remember everything (I think my memory has gotten worse in the past year). I know that recently I have been so preoccupied with taking care of Ryker that I have neglected Dave. I needed to go through some of those memories tonight to remind me of just how much I love my husband and just how far we have come. Looking back at how I felt for Dave while he was on his mission and how I feel for him today, there is no comparison. I love him so much more today than yesterday and I am guessing that with time and effort we will continue to love each other more with each passing day.

you and dave are so awesome. i know what you mean though about feeling like you have been neglecting your hubby. i am in the same situation. time to pull out all the stops and put on the charm!

He does look so much like Dave! This is such a sweet post. I can see how easily husbands can get neglected with all of the time a baby needs. I am hoping to find the happy medium. You guys are so sweet. I think it's awesome the relationship you have. And I don't know if it's right to say that Ryker is the cutest baby because then I'd be saying Dave's the cutest...is that okay? Anyway, you know what I mean!

awesome pictures- that would make a cute scrapbook page. By the way we miss you not living down here too. I wish you could come play with us every once and a while. But we still love you and love it when you are able to come.
Oh my gosh they do look a lot alike. They both are such cute babies!!!! We all knew that your kids would be adorable, look at how good looking you and Dave are. You are such a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. You are doing a great job!!!! Miss ya girl :) Oh I think that I am going to be in town next week. I will call you and let you know.
What a sweet post. I really wish we had some baby pictures of Daris. There just isn't really any. That is really cool how much they look alike. If you guys want a date night give me a call.
