Mother's Day Weekend!

We had a great week leading up to Mother's Day weekend. My friend Nichole and her family came to see us from Boise and we were able to go to dinner with them one night and Nichole brought her kids over to spend some time with me at the house the following day. Nichole, sorry I wasn't a great host, thanks for the gifts. I was so glad to spend some time with you and I wished I had taken pictures. I was a little out of it the day that she came over.

I can't believe how much time and thought goes into packing for a newborn. I wasn't sure how many diapers & wipes to pack, how many outfits, ect. I started to pack on Thursday so that I would make sure I didn't forget anything that was essential. I think I did good for the first trip but we will see the next time around.

Ryker had his 2nd Doctor's appointment; his 2 week checkup on Friday. He now weighs 9lbs 1oz. He is getting so big already. He is actually 3 weeks old now and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Ryker also got his tongue clipped at his appointment. He has a lot better motion with his tongue now and he seems to do better with nursing. I am sure that Ryker will thank us later on in life when he doesn't have speech problems.

We were so excited for Ryker to meet his Grandpa Richard (for those of you who don't know Ryker is a Danish version of Richard which is also Dave's middle name) and the rest of our family members. Rick has been busy with work and developed a cold the weekend that he was going to come to Idaho. Rick was very happy to finally get to hold his grandson. Ryker also got to meet his uncle Brian, Curtis, Colby, aunt Erin, and cousin's Hunter & Parker from the Carlisle side of the family.

We got together with my family on Sunday (I wasn't feeling very well that day, clogged milk duct) for dinner. Ryker got to meet his Aunts Lezette & Tiffany, Uncles Keith & Tim, cousins Bryson, Adam, Mariah, Kiana, Olivia, Naleah, & Savanah.

It was so nice to see both of our families again. Everyone was so happy to meet our little guy. We hope that everyone had an enjoyable Mother's Day!
