SO much Fun - Ryker age 19 months

With all of the Holiday craziness I haven't had much of a chance to blog. My day usually starts out slow but after nap time, it goes by so quickly. I feel like I have not accomplished a lot in the past couple weeks.
Ryker has been SO much fun this past month (I could say that probably every month). We are impressed with his ability to count to 3 although usually it is 1.. 2.. 3.. 9. Yes we usually try to count to 3 or 10 and those are the numbers he picked up. It is SO cute to hear him say it. He can say his colors and 75% off the time will point to the right color such as blue (which is his favorite), yellow, green, red, and sometimes orange. Ryker is such a chatterbox and often will repeat things that we say. I love how when I ask him something he will shake his head "NO" but really mean "Yes" and he says "uh huh". I love that he tries hard to do things that bigger kids can do, such as jump. Here is a video of Ryker showing off. If you ask him to do this in person, good luck. He is kind of shy around people and doesn't speak very much.
So in the video he is constantly running so forgive the crazy camera women. It is hard to keep up with him. He is usually running around making it hard for me to get pictures of him these days. He is SO fun to watch run, jump, play with toys & friends, look at books, and sing. We were listening to Christmas music the other day and he sang "Fa la la la la" then went walking around the house for 5 minutes singing it.
I feel like there is so much of this age that I am not taking note of or forgetting. The other morning we were just cuddling on the couch and I thought how much longer will this last? I have been busy trying to get things done that I am missing this stage in his life. This December it is my goal to take more time out for just him and let the house get messy once in a while. I love being Ryker's mom! He is an amazing kid and I love how he is really starting to understand, listen, and obey what I say, not to mention communicate with me.
The only part of this stage that I am not enjoying are the tantrums. I can't seem to go any where these days without a tantrum. It makes it SO hard for me to want to go anywhere with him. It is nice that I have great friends to do babysitting trades with
Ryker, you are such a wonderful kid. We love having you as part of our family. Our lives would not be the same without you. You bring so much love & laughter into our home.
